For the Spectran V4 (SMA), this calibration resistor is essential to adjust the noise-floor (Firmware BETA26 up). The brand-new noise flooring calibration feature can be activated at any time with the brand-new "CalRun" function in the "Setup" menu. You just have to connect the calibration resistor to the rf-input of the SPECTRAN V4.
